Week 1

Draw Close to God’s Heart

Day 1

Devotional: Ask God to help you see Him in a fresh way today. Meditate on His holiness, His majesty, His greatness, and His glory. Thank Him for the way He pursues an intimate relationship with you.

Scripture: “Our Father Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.” (Matthew

6:9-11)

Day 2

Devotional: Ask Abba to do what only He can do in your life and in your church and in your preschool. . Ask Him to show you how you can be part of it.

Scripture: “Thy Kingdom come.” (Matthew 6:9-11)

Day 3

Devotional: Surrender your wants and desires and ask God to replace them with His. Recognize and give thanks to God that He is in control and you are not.

Scripture: “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:9-11)

Day 4

Devotional: Ask God to give you exactly what you need. Be specific... Then ask Him to help you be content with it. Thank Him for being your Provider.

Scripture: “Give us this day our daily bread.” (Matthew 6:9-11)

Day 5

Devotional: Take the time today to get really vulnerable with your Heavenly Father. Ask Him to show you the areas of your life where you need to repent and then confess those sins to Him. Once you do that, spend time thanking God for the cross and what Jesus did by dying for your sins so that you could be forgiven.

Scripture: “And forgive us our sins.” (Matthew 6:9-11)

Day 6

Devotional: Tell God about, or ask Him to show you, any person or relationship in your life where forgiveness needs to take place. Then ask Him to give you the desire and strength to actually forgive them.

Scripture: “As we forgive those who sin against us.” (Matthew 6:9-11)

Day 7

Devotional: Ask God for discernment and wisdom so that you know and abstain from places and/or people who lead you to sin. Next - ask Him for strength so that you can resist temptations when presented with them.

Scripture: “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (Matthew

6:9-11)
