Ascension continues to thrive under the Great Commission of Jesus to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” We invite you come along and join Jesus on His redemptive mission in the world!
Since we have seen the evidence that Jesus is out of the tomb and on the move and inviting all people to follow Him – our vision is to serve, proclaim and grow with Christ! For 2021 God has called us to “Show and Tell!” It simply means that in 2021 we will each show at least one person the love of Jesus. Then, when the time is right, we will tell that person about the love of Jesus. We believe we can change our community for the better by sharing Jesus’ love in action and then in words.
Pastor Eddie Scheler and his beautiful and talented wife Trish have been in ministry for 30 years. They are both from Central Texas and after having been gone from the area for 30 years are humbled to be back close to family and friends. They love the people and the city of Cleburne passionately. They are blessed to have 3 beautiful, believing daughters! Christa and her newlywed husband Ryan live in Los Angeles. Samantha and her newlywed husband Lee live in Pensacola where Lee’s precious daughter Natalie keeps them, and everyone else, smiling. Rachel is a December graduate from the University of North Texas. She lives in Denton, teaches cheer, and is working on her teacher certification.
